It really sucks how we forget the little things that mean so much to us such as movements, patterns, tastes, etc etc. “What potable can’t say, ‘She will love forever in my memory!’ Live? That is exactly what she won’t do.”
I wonder if Lewis' scolding of himself stems from his perception of how a man should act based off of his surroundings (Oxford)? Or is he scolding himself for waiting so long to love and then since he waited so long why did he let himself love if only for a short period of time?
How does the fear of forgetting the lost love one color the experience of grief both in the book, and outside? (Think about your own life, and other works)
